TOWANDA, Kan. -- Investigators are using search dogs Saturday to scour a wooded area along the banks of the Whitewater River for a Kansas boy whose disappearance went unreported for a decade.
Adam Herrman was 11 years old when he went missing in 1999 from his adoptive parents' mobile home in Towanda. He would be 21 years old now if he is still alive.
His disappearance finally came to light last week when authorities searched the empty lot in Towanda where the family's mobile home once stood.
Butler County Sheriff Craig Murphy says no specific tips have led them to the wooded area just west of Towanda. The area is a popular hangout for local youths.
Murphy concedes that he really does not have high hopes after all this time to find anything, but says investigators won't know until they look.

It is a incredible story and well worth making a post of it, However it can not stand like this. The Video is a CNN video and CNN does have copy rights. I doubt that CNN loaded it up to YouTube. Please do make a good post out of it. You do have a great amount of material here and in previous posting about this case. It would make one great article.

In is my opinion that the adoptive parents should take a polygraph test because it is ovious that they were lying to all for over ten years so they could keep colecting from the stste.

It is strange and tragic that a child can fall through the cracks and no one outside the family knew. I don't understand how no one ended up reporting him because there were other children in the home. Unfortunately this will not be the last time something like this happens because it seems that those who would take care of children cant get them and those that wont have no problems.
