Second arrest in case of murdered French students
UPDATE 13:00 GMT: The man who turned himself in and was arrested for the grizzly murder of two French students in South London was now beent aken to hospital for an unknown afliction.
A man arrested over the murders of two French students has been taken to hospital.
Police declined to reveal the nature of injuries suffered by the 33-year-old man, who handed himself in at a south London police station this morning.
A police spokesman said: "A 33-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murders of Laurent Bonomo and Gabriel Ferez in Sterling Gardens, SE14.
A second arrest has been made in the brutal murder of two French students in London. A 33-year old man has turned himself in to police. This follows the arrest of a 21-year-old in connection with the case, but that person was released without charge.
LONDON (Reuters) - Police have made a second arrest in their investigation into the murder of two French students in a frenzied knife attack in London after a man handed himself in to police, authorities said on Monday.
Bio-engineering students Laurent Bonomo and Gabriel Ferez, both 23, were bound, gagged and repeatedly stabbed in Bonomo's south London apartment in what police said were the most "frenzied, brutal and horrific" murders they had seen.
"A 33-year-old man handed himself in at a south London police station early this morning where he currently remains in custody," Scotland Yard police said in a statement.
