The Conservative shadow home secretary Chris Grayling has been secretly taped saying that gay couples should be banned from hotels such as bed and breakfast establishments if the owner so wishes.

Grayling said: "I think we need to allow people to have their own consciences," he said. "I personally always took the view that, if you look at the case of should a Christian hotel owner have the right to exclude a gay couple from a hotel, I took the view that if it's a question of somebody who's doing a B&B in their own home, that individual should have the right to decide who does and who doesn't come into their own home."

This move is seen by many as showing that the Conservative party has one public modernised agenda and another hidden right wing conservative that discriminates against certain groups in society.

David Cameron, leader of the Tory party, has had a good week with many industry leaders coming out to back his anti-Labour Party proposals to increase national insurance contributions.

Chris Huhne, the Liberal Democrat Shadow Home Secretary, has condemmed Grayling as promoting or giving succour to bigots by saying that it's ok for businesses to turn away gay people from their doors. Huhne fell short of accusing Grayling of being an out and out bigot. Some Christian groups are happy with Chris Grayling's views and are backing him up. Huhne said: "Chris Grayling's plan would allow discrimination to thrive, as every bigot was given a licence to opt out of equality rules. These views… show how far the Conservative party still has to travel before reaching the modern age."

, Chris Grayling, was secretly taped suggesting that people who ran bed and breakfasts in their homes should "have the right" to turn away homosexual couples.

Hypocracy dies hard like old habits.Lot of those who adovcate gay rights in the sunshine oppose it vehemently during wee hours of the mid- night.Liberalism is more of a mask, less of an ideological frame as far as politicians go.
