I think a security perimeter, or a cooperation between U.S. and Canadian authorities would be a good thing especially if it's going to ease border hassles and hopefully allow a European style flow of goods, services and people in North America. I agree with Harper that a security threat against America is a security threat against Canada, and we can not allow this country to be a launching pad against the United States.

I share your concerns over sovereignty, however, since Conservatives have always been America's puppy dogs, and ready to please whatever the cost, such as sending combat troops to Iraq, tanks to Afghanistan, and buying fighter aircraft we don't need. God knows what they may do if they're allowed to conduct this business behind closed doors.

Apparantly,US faces no security threat from any quarter.Canada too.Since elected government are expected to tell lies, and only lies, because they are elected on the basis of lies which they could convincingly sell  as divine truth.Name a government on earth which has not deceived those who elected it.US is biggest security threat to world.Nothing could be expected from governments headed by foolhardies.
