The self-confessed liar Paul Burrell will not be 'investigated' on the grounds of perjury until after the inquest into her murky death is over Scotland Yard has confirmed.

49-year-old bluffer Burrell has refused to return to the UK to face allegations that he lied to the jury in his evidence earlier this year, after admitting in a covertly recorded conversation in a New York hotel room that he had not told the “whole truth” and "misled" the jury.

He denies committing perjury and claims he was drunk and showing off when he made the unguarded admission to television producer Paul Khullar last month. Scotland Yard did not initially comment following the disclosure at the hearing on 5 March.

But a spokesman has since confirmed: “Any action the Metropolitan Police Service would take around allegations of perjury would not be dealt with until conclusion of the inquests. Any decision taken would be in consultation with the Coroner after the jury have reached their verdict.”

It is now perfectly clear that what Burrell intimated on the secret tape, that he made a deal with the Queen to stay silent on 'certain matters', has in fact happened and the Inquest jury and the public will be denied the truth. When asked if he had made a deal to stay silent, Burrell said: "Well, she's the Queen... I sacrificed my own integrity for the bigger picture."
