The Republicans have made false claims that universal health care will kill babies and old people, now they have stooped even lower, with Senator Chuck Grassley claiming that Ted Kennedy would die under universal health care.

Sen. Grassley offered no proof how this sick scenario would happen under the Obama plan and provided not a shred of actual knowledge of Kennedy's medical condition.

On Iowa talk radio station KCJJ, Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) falsely claimed that Ted
Kennedy would be allowed to die under a universal health care plan because his
health care services would be "rationed."

As the ranking Republican on the Senate Finance Committee, Grassley is a major
player in Congressional negotiations on health care. He told that Kennedy's advanced
age -- the Massachusetts senator is 77 -- means that under a universal health care
system, the senator would be denied treatment for his brain tumor.
