"We promised you to be martyrs or victors," Hayya told supporters. "Today we and you are victors."

1,300 Palestinians were killed, 4,000 wounded

Israel lost 10 soldiers in the fighting and three civilians were killed in Israel by Hamas rockets.

Hamas won?  Can any rational

person call that a victory? Hamas

fighters?? hid like rats and defended

nothing and they claim victory.

"I tell the resistance fighters, I tell the Qassam fighters, do not drop your weapons, do not put your weapons aside and do not abandon your trenches," Hayya said.

They should have obeyed these instructions DURING the war.

They are only doing what they truly believe and as long as they have breath according to their understanding of success they have won. However, according to our understanding they got their asses-kicked. Infrastructure destroyed that includes long-rang missiles, tunnels, and weapons factories.

I agree except while the people may believe they won the Hamas leaders know better.

Hamas succeeded in keeping the borders closed so they could continue to act the martyr and victim and make millions off the tunnels. Guess that's success. So 72,000 virgins needed, for the dead men.

Good explanation.

Hamas can only win politically, not military, and the way to do that is to show as many bodies as possible, to get sympathy from the non thinking media.  It seems to be working.

But not with the thinking public. unfortunately not everyone has access to the internet and find things on it for themselves and observe the info war going on.
