Serbia's war crimes court has rejected an appeal by the former Bosnian Serb military commander, Ratko Mladic, against his transfer to the UN tribunal in The Hague where he is indicted for genocide. The appeal received by post had argued that the former Bosnian Serb commander needed urgent medical attention in Belgrade and was too ill to be extradited to The Hague. But that has been over ruled and the prosecutor now says Gen. Mladic will be sent to the tribunal as soon as possible. The extradition order must be signed by the justice minister, who is speaking to journalists later this afternoon; prompting Gen Mladic could be put on a plane as early as tonight.
