Kimberly Munley is with the Fort Hood Police Department, she is proud of her job, and loves country music.

In the photo to the right she is with Dierks Bentley at the Freedom Fest on July 4th that took place at Fort Hood.

Sgt Kimberly Munley is among the 30 wounded and is recovering in hospital today after a bullet passed through both her legs, but she was directing traffic on the base yesterday when she confronted Malik Nadal Hasan and although she was shot herself, she shot Hasan four times. It was originally thought he was dead, but today he is recovering in hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.

Lt. Gen. Bob Cone said that Kimberly Munley and her partner responded to the emergency call within three minutes of hearing it and Kimberly had no trouble rushing in to a builidng and confronting Hasan head on.

"It was an amazing and an aggressive performance by this police officer," Cone said.

Kimberly Munley's twitter biography reads "I live a good life... a hard one, but I go to sleep @ night knowing that I may have made a difference in someone's life".

It is clearly the case that she made a difference in many lives yesterday as her quick thinking is being praised by her colleagues for saving many more lives.
