Sex scandal-hit Italy PM loosing women’s support

<?xml:namespace prefix = st1 />Rome, Feb 4: Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi is fast loosing the support of women because of the sex scandals in which he is allegedly involved. Though he says he was laughing off his latest sex scandal, people are not willing to laugh, reports say. Prosecutors are presently investigating whether he compensated a number of attractive women for sex. The latest scandal is filling the media with images of scores of young women in his orbit. Berlusconi is for the first time in his career finding that a growing number of people were turning against him. Particularly women. Female discontent is increasing, reports say.

About 75,000 people signed a petition on the website of the newspaper L’Unita, asking Italian women to say “enough already” to Berlusconi. On Saturday thousands of protesters particularly women participated in a demonstration in Milan on Saturday. A  nationwide protest is being promoted by women on February 13.

However, Ruby (Rubacuori), who is in the centre of the sex scam, has rubbished the reports.
