Liberation Tigers of Tamileelam (LTTE) officials on Wednesday said that 130 Sri Lanka Army (SLA) soldiers were killed in the multi-front offensive push by the SLA in Kilinochchi on Tuesday.
More than 300 soldiers were wounded in the heavy battle that raged throughout the day till 4:00 p.m. on four main localities and along a wide stretch of the frontiers in Kilinochchi. 32 dead bodies of the SLA soldiers have been recovered so far, 24 in Kilinochchi and 8 in Kiliaali, in the clearing missions following Tuesdays fighting. There are young recruits of the SLA, including child soldiers, engaged in the front by the SLA.
Photographs of the dead bodies of the Sri Lankan soldiers, recovered by the LTTE, has lately exposed Colombos use of fresh recruits from the south in the intensive battle front in Kilinochchi. The latest photo has also revealed that Colombo is victimising Sinhalese children in its offensive front in Vanni.
10 dead bodies of the SLA soldiers were recovered by the Tigers Tuesday evening. 8 more bodies were recovered later and 6 further recovered Wednesday morning.
Three identity tags of the SLA soldiers were shown by the Tigers. S195842 (SR.CO.UY, B+ve), S1369682 (B+ve, DCOY, 12 SLSR) and S371790 (A+ve, ACOY, 12 SLSR). Only a few soldiers were carrying identity tags or documents while being engaged in the offensives in Vanni.
The Tigers said they have seized several weapons in the clearing mission.
There was still exchange of gunfire and minor clashes that continued in Malaiyaalapuram and Kugchupparanthan areas according to the latest update Wednesday morning.
The SLA had launched the multi-front push towards Kilinochchi through Malayaalapuram, Kugnchupparanthan, Murikandi and Pulikkulam. The Tigers said the SLA move was repulsed.
The army has also suffered heavy casualties in the Jaffna front at Kilaali where it launched an offensive push in the early hours of Tuesday amid heavy rain. There were more dead bodies lying between the LTTE and SLA defence lines, according to the latest updates from Kilaalli front.

this is FAKE which bloody lttes use to,harm the goodwill of the SLA ,using their own chidren, they do these types of things. sla takes soldiers only above 18 ,not like the stupiiid tigers.

Toy soldiers,Who can stop that from happening. Here we go again suffer little children for the sake of war mongers I would never let my kids even look at weapons, toy guns and toy grenades and wee soldiers uniforms. This is just unthinkable and unjustified.? What is the U.N Doing to stop such horrific exploitation of those kids.

I thought the reporters at NP had a bit more sense than to fall for a photo circulated by LTTE - the most advanced terrorist outfit in the world in so many ways, including propaganda.
This is the most absurd thing I ever heard. Believing this photo by you is more absurd than the idea of some fool circulating this picture.
If we were to believe everything based on some close up pictures of dead bodies, taken who knows WHEN & WHERE, wonder what the world may come to?? Please base your accusations on something at least a little bit more credible than this.

Showing National identity cards of people does not hold water. The GOSL issues service ID cards to all servicemen, and a tag. What happened to these?
I also observe that this video has been put out by Tamilnet, the picture doctoring masters of eelam, LOL. SL Govt recruits servicemen at the age of 18. Even if the IDs were true, just check on the ages. Also, for your information, National Identity Cards are not carried to war. I know so.
By design or not, you have opened a whole can of worms.
The LTTE is known for child recruitment by the whole world. I urge you to watch a couple of other videos which give out the true picture.
It is a waste of time arguing about this matter of child soldiers with some disillusioned and desperate LTTE supporters.
It is always best to come out with unconcocted stories.

You can't hide the truth long time. Don't try to protect the Sri lanka gvt. The government using the poorness of people. The poor singala peoples from villages the government using their shortage army persornel and hungry of war monsters. Because of big salary this innocent people joining in SL army and they told not to use in war front for one year. But within 3 months training they sent to war front.That is statement of captured under age Sl army. Why in Sri lanka medias mouths shut by gvt?

Because they want blackout the world and innocent singala people. show the world democratic and get the world fianancial help.

There are thousands of youth waiting to join the SLA the worlds most successful Army.If chance is given there even elders in their 30s to 60s to join SLA. Until the last 18+ SINHALA person is alive there is no necessity to recruit child solders to SLA. LTTE STOP YOUR SAKKILI PROPAGANDA. How come we haven't seen any photographs of these tags? Do those tags give out a date of birth like in the NIC? By the way, the owners of the IDs shown in the Tamilnet (picture doctoring masters of the LTTE), are of eligible age to fight lowly terrorists.
LTTE had an operation where they were getting bogus NICs to terrorists. This was exposed. The LTTE did not have the brains to get some bogus NICs with bogus pictures of children. Too late now!
