Just released; the autopsy report on little 5 year old Shaniya Davis, who was found deceased November 16;  a week after her mother reported her missing on Nov 10 – Shaniya died from asphyxiation and suffered injuries that confirm the little girl was sexually assaulted.

Her body was found by searchers who had been told the baby had been stashed near a deer carcass dumping ground ~ an area they had been combing for two days, hoping to bring some sort of closure to the horrific story that her egg donor had sold her baby girl into sexual servitude to settle a drug debt (allegedly).

Shaniya was found under a thick patch of kudzu and was wearing only panties and an adult-sized black sweat shirt.

I’m sure it was a coincidence that family friend, convicted felon and fellow druggie – Mario McNeill was wearing a black sweatshirt when the surveillance tape captured him carrying the angel in his arms into the Comfort Suites in Sanford  into an elevator and into a room, some 40 miles from the feces covered trailer she called home, for the last 5 weeks of her life.

Police were notified that Shaniya was seen by a hotel clerk who called 911 - after seeing her photograph on local news, shortly after her mother reported her missing. Unfortunately McNeall had already taken Shaniya from the hotel when the police arrived. They were given the hotel surveillance tape that clearly show McNeill carrying Shaniya into the elevator and into a room, they also have tape of McNeil carrying her out of the hotel about an hour later. That tape hasn't been released but Fayetteville police spokeswoman Theresa Chance said Shaniya was clearly alive when she left the hotel with McNeill. This initially gave police hope that Shaniya would be found alive.

Mario Andrette McNeill, 29, has been charged with first-degree kidnapping,  first degree murder and rape of a child,.  Police said McNeill admitted to taking Shaniya, but he pled not guilty to the charges brought against him.  Fayetteville attorney, Allen Rogers represented McNeill in his prelim but resigned December 9th, after McNeill was warned he may be facing the death penalty. Rogers claimed McNeill would be better represented by a public defender who would have more resources available to him.

McNeill was released from probation six months early in October, after he had been convicted for an April 2008 drug possession, speeding to elude arrest and assaulting a government official.  

Antoinette Nicole Davis, 25 has been charged with human trafficking, filing a false police report, interfering with a police investigation and felony child abuse. She has also pled not guilty. The police have said their are no more charges pending at this time. To the question 'why Davis has not been charged in Shaniya's death?' investigative reporter Michelle Sigona has theorized Davis maybe cooperating with police, in return they may hold off on any new charges until after Davis testifies against McNeill. Davis, who is pregnant and has a 7 yr old son, could be charged with murder after participating in a crime that lead to Shaniya's death.

Antoinette Davis' arrest warrant stated she "did knowingly provide Shaniya with the intent that she be held in sexual servitude" and "did permit an act of prostitution with Shaniya.
