This is one brave soul.
A shoe was recently hurled at Mahmoud Ahmadinejad while the Iranian president was en route to an election rally in the city of Urmia, an Iranian Web site has reported,
The incident in the Iranian city was an apparent imitation of a similar attack on former U.S. president George Bush in Iraq last year.
Urmia News, the Iranian site, reported that Ahmadinejad was in a car when the shoe was thrown. Ahmadinejad was traveling to a local stadium where he was meant to deliver a speech ahead of upcoming presidential elections in Iran

A solo revolution from a man with a sole, a very brave feet. But has the thrower put one step into his own grave. Hope he did not throw his running shoes and use them by running high for leather to get away.
My thought and heart are with the brave guy I hope he escaped detection. He certainly deserves a medal or two.

Either he/she is one crazy and wild guy/girl or just has nothing to lose?

I think it was a guy not a girl as they keep the girls locked up when this prime minster is about. have you seen his eyes, lol Scare the hell out of me, lol
But its normally the men that throw the shoes as its deemed half the insult if its a woman, sorry I am still joking.

Better that those who oppose speak with their footwear than with a coat full of explosives and a trigger.

Yeah, I wouldn't throw anything at him...

I wonder what will be the auction price of the shoe in this case?

This was not a presidential campaign meeting. Ahmadi Nejad and his cabinet pay monthly visits to different provinces and hold their cabinet meeting at local governor offices instead of the capital. In these provincial trips, he ususally goes to the city stadium to run speech for the masses. Presidential capaign in Iran has not started yet. In April candidates should enroll and start their official competition.

A little light news for a change. Better then foot in mouth or rather sole in mouth disease.

tikun,
I'm sporting size 14WWW Merrill winter shoes. Its the nuclear detterent of footwear. If you throw one of these monsters, there is almost certainly going to be collateral damage.

An Iranian student? Hopefully he or she brought an extra shoe to throw.
