Shots Fired in East Vancouver

One man in his early 20s is recovering from a minor gunshot wound after shots rang out in the area of the 1500 block East 10th Avenue shortly after 3 p.m. this afternoon.
 
Police received several calls and upon arrival officers located two men in a vehicle nearby. One of the men was suffering from a minor gunshot wound and the vehicle had been hit by bullets.
 
The investigation is still in a very early phase and there are currently no suspects in custody or suspect descriptions available. The motivation for this brazen daytime shooting is unknown.
 
Police are asking anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area of the 1500 block E 10th Avenue at about 3 p.m. is asked to call the Vancouver Police Robbery/Assault Unit at 604-717-2541 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
