I have to be thankful that in my corner of New Jersey it has not been colder.

It is October 8 and I have not turned the heat on yet.
Day temperatures are still in the mid to high 60's.
In the past week, night temperatures have dropped to the mid 40's.

The very official US Energy Department's Energy Information Administration said in its annual winter heating outlook that Heating Costs are expected to rise by some 15% compared to last year reports Marketwatch suggesting that we Hit those Sweaters and Blankets Sales.
