Maybe reality is sinking in. Republican and Democrat incumbents who are unable to collaborate and reach consensus may as well leave before they are ousted. Expect a sea change as we remember in November.

GOP Rep. Geoff Davis announced Thursday that he would not seek reelection in 2012, foregoing a fifth term. "In order to devote more time to my family, I have decided not to seek re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives," Davis said in a statement. Davis represents a solidly Republican district in northern Kentucky.
