A shooting at the Sikh Temple of Wisconsin in Oak Creek on August 5, 2012 has left at least four people injured. Information is still emerging: some report that the gunman has left the Sikh temple, while others say that there are two gunmen, who are still inside the temple and holding hostages.
A SWAT team entered the temple, and began evacuating the people inside. Among those shot was the temple's president and the first police officer to respond. Hospitals were told to expect up to 20 victims, but it's not clear how many people got shot. The Sikh temple shooting is being treated as an active situation: there are still people believed to be trapped inside.

Update: police say that a gunman was shot at the Sikh temple, but did not elaborate.
Who is the Sikh Temple Shooter?
Apparently the Sikh temple gunman was killed by the officer he shot; two other bodies were found outside. The other four bodies were discovered inside the Sikh temple. The shooter's identity has not yet been released.
Sikh temple committee member Ven Boba Ri told the Journal-Sentinel, "It's pretty much a hate crime. It's not an insider." One shooter has been described as a large white male, wearing a white sleeveless t-shirt and carrying two guns.
Twitter chatter suggests that the hostages freed were hiding in bathrooms and the temple's kitchen. The SWAT team is preparing to re-enter the building. According to the Journal-Sentinel's Karen Herzog, children are held hostage in the Sikh temple basement.

Someone who sent a text message to a Journal Sentinel reporter shortly before noon said that there were two shooters with children possibly as hostages.And the head priest was locked inside a restroom with a cell phone and that there were as many as 20 to 30 victims.
Police in tactical gear have set up at the Sikh Religious Society of Wisconsin, in nearby Brookfield. So far, no related disturbances have been reported in Brookfield.
