You would think a decades old common law relationship which bore three children would amount to something for a single Mom left in the cold, certainly a Quebec law, distinct, but certainly Stinks in my Book, though parental responsibility doesn't end with conception, the same is true for the mother of his children in which she must raise alone,

A single mother's legal quest to win alimony from her billionaire ex-partner took on the character of a constitutional challenge Monday at a Quebec courtroom.
The brewing legal battle, which could wind its way to the Supreme Court of Canada, has the potential to dramatically alter the rights of hundreds of thousands of couples who live together in Quebec.
Whereas common-law partners in most of Canada have the same rights as married couples, Quebec law doesn't provide any rights for such men and women after they separate.

The husband is already giving her $35,000/month for "food" and he gave her a $700,000 house.She wants $56,000/month and $50 million. She is already getting enough in my opinion.

Hence why the courts to decide.
