Six killed in Pakistan suicide bombing

At least six persons were killed and 30 others injured when a suicide bomber rammed an explosive-laden vehicle into the barrier of a tribal force at a checkpoint in Kalaya, tehsil headquarter of Orakzai Agency, in Pakistani tribal region on Friday.
Eyewitnesses said the suicide bomber targetted the post located in the ground where the weekly cattle fair in Kalaya is held.
They said the personnel of the security guards opened fire on the car which exploded with a huge blast, killing six persons. The deceased were identified as Daulat Ali, Shaheed Ali, Riyasat Ali, Salim Hussain, Mir Alam and Saleh.
Another 30 people were injured. Some of the injured were identified as Qasim Ali, Naseeb Ali, Syed Haneef Shah and 13-year-old Waqas.
The injured were rushed to the Agency Headquarters Hospital in Kalaya and District Headquarters Hospital in Kohat.
Meanwhile, the political authorities sent a force to the area to cordon off the locality and do rescue work. Nobody was allowed access to the site of the explosion.
No militant group thus far has claimed responsibility for the explosion.
It was the second suicide attack in the area. In October, 82 persons were killed and 241 injured when a suicide bomber blew himself up in a grand jirga held at Khadizai area of Alikhel tribe against the militants.
