After a long successful election campaign, the Scottish National Party was supported by most of Scotlands voters, gaining an overall majority in the 2011 Scottish Elections.


Alex Salmond, previous first Minister for Scotland, comes ahead as the elected first minister once more, Nicola Sturgeon was also re-elected.


Aaron Sneddon was at the Aberdeen AECC to photograph the count.
