Babe's story

...

This story hit home for me, I loved this sweet little puppy. My little Binkie one of four dogs I own. Her last litter, she had six puppies. The runt looked just like this little Babe. I have pictures of her and will upload one with this story. The family that owns Babe is starting to take her to nursing homes and sharing her love. This little poy dog is the sweetiest, I think they are the best dogs to own. She has a great Ohana and they are doing good things with her. Her next step is training to help rehabilitate others.

The story of Babe may change your mind and inspire you.

She has a face that will make you melt.

And there's nothing sweeter than the tender bark of an 18-month old puppy.

But there's much more to Babe  something very special.

"Be a good girl  sit, sit good girl," said her owner Warren Hoopii.

You see Babe, was born without two legs and doesn't even care.

"She was born that way so never had legs before," said Hoopii. "Everybody else going wow, wow, wow, wow what a neat dog but to her she's a dog."

A dog that instantly draws a crowd everywhere she goes.

"To her she's a normal puppy yeah," he said. "It's very inspirational."

She is half chiquaqua and half poodle a magnet for cameras and the curious.

"How'd you train her did you train her or did she learn by herself," asked a child. "No just her desire to get from one area to the next," answered Hoopii.

Hoopii says Babe has taught him a lot about life.

"She used to crawl like a snake on the ground and then she hopped and then all of sudden she should stood up and started walking," he said. "The amazing thing about it is nature how it adapts it's amazing."

Mommy Gigi is very protective.

"She looks like a kangaroo when she jumps woooh!"

Hoopii calls her a gift and he wants to share his gift with others.

"We're trying to train her to be a therapy because it's very inspirational yeah get her to Shriner's and stuff," said Hoopii.

And Babe has already made a difference in some people's lives.

"Just about a week-and-a-half ago I took her to her first elderly home and it was beautiful it was incredible," he said. "The elderly people just fell in love with her."

And with a face like hers how can you not.
