Solar Power to restart the Economy and create Jobs World wide. by Paschen

By, Uwe Paschen.

Solar Power to reduce Carbon emission and fossil fuel dependence and kick start the Economy anew.

Over the past two decades we have been experimenting with Solar power and perfecting it, especially in areas such as Europe, California, Japan and even North and west Africa.

The results are rather positive and the systems proved them self-effective and beneficial to both, the environment as well as Human them self.

Over the past Decades, we improved it greatly with new technologies making it more efficient in its energy conversion and more cost effective as well.

The Problem though has always been the initial investment to put up such a system with out Government Grants or other help, since it does take about 10 to 20 years to pay it of, before it starts saving one money. By that time, usually updates and maintenance are required as well demanding a new investment of about 20% of the initial Cost.

This at least is the way a Banker looks at it and why it is so difficult to justify any such investment. However that is because we do not take into account the benefit and the saving made in the long run, especially the environmental saving that are substantial and yet not factored in. At least not by Banks or investors.

What would help here would be a Carbon Bank as proposed in the Kyoto accord and implemented to some extend in Europe, Japan and Russia, however not in North America. The flaw of the system though is that it does not include private single households, leaving them out of the equation, yet those households if all investing into Solar and Wind as well as Geothermal Energies could and would contribute substantially to the reduction in Carbon emission and the dependence on fossil fuels.

This independence is unfortunately not in the interest of the main power providers that are eager to build new Nuclear Power station as well as new Coal power plants with so called filters that are supposed to counter pollution, so far that has proven to be untrue though and unconceivable to achieve.

We would do well by investing in such technologies even in an economic crisis, since this investment does not only benefit us right away by reducing Pollution and fossil fuel dependence as well as reducing substantially health care cost and there for stretching Government and personal Budgets thank to a better environment and healthier people.

It would also benefit us in the end by promoting more political and financial as well environmental stability, which in turn would give substantial economic, grows as well.

Shifting and converting to Renewable energies would not only benefit the environment at large and our health, it could be the needed trigger to restart the economy and trade, for it would create more new Jobs then we are loosing at present and those would be long term and well renumerated as well. It would also reform our institutions and way of life to be more cooperative and interdependent for one another since Solar may be best suited in one area and wind in another, same for Bio Gas and Geothermal energies to the point that we would share one another’s production sell when we produce and buy when we need more energy or due to the fact that the Sun does not always shine, not even in California. Same for the Wind and other renewable resources. However by combining and interchanging we would always have more then enough energy and this with out fossil fuels and peacefully as well as environment friendly.

Would it work, Yes it would and we have done so here to prove it would, the only down site so far is that we pay more for the power we buy in then we get for the power we sell and we do not benefit from the carbon credits s of now.

Do we have a long way to go still before it all makes a substantially positive impact? Yes we do, however all good things seem to demand hard work and some growing pain, don’t they.

Now, mind you there is tones of information out there, this is just a sample.

We can kick start the economy and help the environment all at the same time.

It may even help prevent further wars to unfold. Would be much welcome as far as I am concerned.
