Sometimes people do not talk about those not here, mistakenly thinking that is what others want...

My parents never talk(ed) about their parents or my sister who died at 24 when I was 14. It is sad, but I understand their feelings. I can take it, they have (had) a hard time - who am I to say they had to be like me. My family all talks about Jessie to me - that I am grateful for. I have to talk about her, I think about her all the time and I work on her case, I HAVE TO TALK ABOUT HER. Thank God they let me.

For us to not hurt as we do, over our missing loved ones or victims of unsolved murders, rapes and all crime; would mean we were not lucky enough to have loved them this much. To be missing and hurting so much means there was a strong love that we would never trade a second of.

I mean for me, if I knew over 25 years ago that Jessie would go missing when she was 21 and I could only avoid that pain by NEVER being her mother in the first place, I would do it all over again - even knowing this pain would be waiting at the end of the joy. Love Glendene.
