As per ABC Live political analysis, the incident of Tharoor comment on Twitter about austerity measures initiated by Gandhi family and followed by Congressmen is said to be the resultant of cold political war between Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, after regain of power in 2009.
