Update 16.08 GMT: Shuttle given a go to close payload doors.
The Space Shuttle Endeavour was due to land at 2.30pm EST today but the landing has been delayed due to a forcast of high winds and stormy weather. There is a second landing opportunity later in the afternoon in Florida but failing that good weather is expected all day at Edwards Air Force Base in California. (Updates to follow)
Turbulent skies and intermittent thunderstorms have canceled any chance of space shuttle Endeavour landing today at Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in Florida. Mission control has just told the crew to close the payload bay doors, an indication that the shuttle may land today at Edwards Air Force Base (EAFB) in California.
