The CEO of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) in Richmond, Virginia, reportedly left her deaf and blind 16-year-old dog in her hot car for four hours of Wednesday August 19. Robin Starr did not remember that her dog Louie, had been in the car until noonLouie died of kidney failure soon after, though Starr took her pet to two clinics.

According to the National Weather Service, the temperature by noon (outside the car) was 91 degrees.

The board of the SPCA says it still supports Starr, who has been CEO since 1997 and does not plan to resign. It was unclear whether she would be charged.

I hate hypocrites

I'm sorry about the dog but this woman is such a freakin hypocrite, it doesnt make any sense. She was one of the people in richmond protesting and yelling about Micheal Vick being a dog killer and he should do time....OH NOW HOW THE TABLES HAVE TURNED!!!! Maybe now she'll see that people make mistakes and that doesnt make them a bad person...I hate hypocrites and I hope she gets what she deserves.

I for one will not support the ASPCA anymore if they support her. It is really nice that her husband is willing to take the blame but do they really think we are that stupid?  Anyone else would have to face charges for this. How many times do we watch people go to jail on Animal Planet for much less than killing the animal?  Have some dignity. Resign and turn yourself in.
