I'm listening and I hear you little bro. I am 58 years old. When I was 17, I had dropped out of school and run away from home to get away from the abuse in my high school and family. I'm now a teacher in a college and yes, it does get better. I work where I can be out to everyone safely and we had a very cool celebration of National Coming Out Day for students on campus. There is also a Queer Coalition of students and teachers on campus and a Diversity Center that deals with issues of the LGBT students, students of color and other minorities. We call our campus "The Safe Zone" and it is just that. It's not like issues never come up, but we have made major progress in our school and in our nation too. Looking back at how things used to be, I know this for sure. We have a ways to go, but people like you and I are making it happen. It will get even better in the future. Thanks for your great vid.

I think your awesome! What a brave and great video to put out into the world. For kids to hear from someone their own age giving them support is fantastic. I really hope this video reaches the people that need to hear from you. I am a hederosexual christian, but I support all people. I believe God created us and loves us all the same. I am glad to hear that your grand mother has been there for you. You are going to do great things in your life! You are making this world better by being in it!

This is a great video, and I'd suggest to Amy Judd to also post it to the It Gets Better Project's YouTube channel: YouTube - itgetsbetterproject's Channel if she hasn't already done so. I believe it will get even more exposure there. Thanks Amy, and thanks to the brave young man for making this video. I wish you the very best in your life. I know you'll make a big difference in the world. :-)
