Definitely "independent" media and reporting planted within Sri Lankan Navy and Army.

In an 200,000 Tamils civilians trapped zone, showing tens of people rescued from suffering (from whom? the same Sri Lankan government that did not send in food and medicines and distrupted any aid coming from outside to these people) and asking specific questions about LTTE within 2 feets of loaded guns of Sri Lankan Navy from people who are starved and wounded, what else you would think they say? Hip Hip Hooray for media freedom. Hip Hip Hooray for human rights.

Is any reporting is better than no reporting? what else you can expect from Sri Lanka?

Why the same reporters were not send to the "refugee camps" or captured Tamils regions indepedently without any Sri Lankan Army or Navy accompanying them? Those are safe regions for reporters. One can only ponder.

Dear all,

Whether it is a Tamil or a sinhalese the truth is these peopel are victims of war and victims of terrorism. Plesae do not be narrow minded . You may be living in overseas with all luxury in your life. We here in Sri Lnaka knows the real picture. Do not let the world carry away the idea that Tamil living in overseas are just a group without sense. Call your relatives and ask. They will tell you. It o.k .you may have had wrong ideas about sri lankan forces. but we being in the Army knows how much we care these people. And how much we feel sad about these people. We too are humans and fathers. We do not like our mothers and fathers and children to cry like this. Try to learn. Have the courage to say this is to be stoped. Accept that you were wrong.

Dear mangala,

Thank you so much for the comment on this. Coming from a person serving in the SL Army, this comment undoubtedly is very valuable to us.
