sri lanka army slaughtered 20.000 civilians in may 2009
U.N. again urged for independent investigations for suspected warcrimes and genocide in sri lanka committed by both tamil tigers and the sri lankan armed forces. I think more reliable information is coming from newsagencies like the bbc, channel4, Times News and hundreds of websites related to this. One thing is sure, Sri Lanka can NEVER hide GENOCIDE!

The ludicrous methods used to produce this 20000 figure by TimesOnline has been widely discredited, including by the UN itself. UN has not offered an official estimate, but documents leaked by Tamils in the UN (apparently by Navi Pillai - the human rights commissioner) say the death toll is at around 6000. It is worth noting that this death toll does not distinguish between combatants and civilians, and the Tamil Tigers were wearing civilian clothes and were shooting from within civilian settlements. The only accurate thing the TimesOnline analysis has shown is that the Tigers had deliberately placed their artillery guns among the civilians to draw retaliatory fire. There is also no doubt that they shot thousands of poor Tamils trying to escape from their clutches, as video evidence of shootings and witness testimony is widely available.

BBC is filled with Sri Lankan Tamils and its reporting is hardly reliable. What's even more amusing is that Channel4 recently claimed that its contact ate cyanide and committed suicide, which only means that their source was a Tamil Tiger. All its done was to regurgitate Tamil Tiger propaganda with no respect for journalistic norms. You can hardly call these lowlife British tabloid scumbags proper journalists.

Sri Lanka has won the war, and the Tamil refugee diaspora is terrified that they would have to leave their Western asylums and go back to their homelands. That is why they are trying to propagate these genocide myths with the help of a few impotent white lackeys. The Tamils living on handouts in the West under their white masters put the lives of poor Tamils in Sri Lanka on the line to continue their residence in the West.

Eelam will only be a relic in the mind of the diaspora. We have taken back our country, and there is nothing you or your white colonial masters can do about it. Our allies are more powerful.

that's the only thing you can do accusing descent people for being terrorists while the whole world knows about your government and army warcrimes and genocide!

you say not? then allow independent investigations and give access to the media to these killing fields and concentrationcamps. Let us ask the tamils themselves who were responsible for the massacres and they will point at rajapaksa and fonseka, you know that that's why you are trying to block the U.N.

BBC, Channel4 and the Times are far more reliable mediasources than your propaganda media as daily mirror or the army website for the simple fact that we don't believe gotabhaya's disgusting lies anymore and it's time to get this man trialed for warcrimes and genocide!

Tamil Eelam is a very true option for the eelam tamils to live in safety and in peace in their own homelands! that's never been made clearer before by the atrocities committed by colombo!

"....is a very true option for the eelam tamils..."

Aff Karz, it is a very viable aaption. We doooo thinklikethat.  Only that eels can recreate/manufacture/ build  du-ee'l'am  in Netherlands, provided the Dutch government permit it.

Why not? They fall in love with any immigrants at the very first sight..!

Try, saar, try.

Kevin,

Thank you for a very explicit evaluation of the lies spread around by LTTE propagandanists.

The tamil diaspora is hell bent on discrediting Sri Lanka as it would help their cause of living on doled out money without doing an iota of work.

Let's also remember that the late greatest coward to have walked on the face of the earth, used a few hundred thousands of civilians to shield himself, jeopardizing their lives by putting them in the line of fire and also that anyone who tried breaking away from the shield was killed mercilessly.

Tamilnet, please copy!!
