Crime, Diseases and Celebrations  - A rare combo one can find in the island Sri Lanka.

The following are few of the incidents that happened in a week:

The above doesn't include the abduction of an outspoken journalist Poddalo Jayantha who is at present in hospital.

As in the case of other journalist abductions, there is no investigation for this as well.

From the health front, the dengu fever claimed lives of upto 110 and infected cases are over 8,200. The total number of people died in Mexico from swine flu is  much less than the death toll due to dengu fever in Sri Lanka.

But the above problems are given lower priority when it comes to the victory celebrations going on after the defeat of Tamil Tigers.

On the otherhand 300,000 Tamils are living inside concentration camps with overcrowded tents and no proper toilet facilities also.
