Sri Lanka intensified attack after the Indian diplomats visit
Sri Lanka Air Force intensified its attack on safe zone this saturday after the visit of Indian diplomats Siva shankar menon and M.K. Narayanan. This isn't new. Everytime any Indian official visit Sri Lanka to discuss on the war, the attack gets intense.
This saturday the saze zone areas Mullivakkal,Valaignarmadam and Pokkanai are bombed by Sri Lankan Air Force, 25 times.
Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) unloaded bombs in four sorties on Saturday, intensifying bombardments in the northern and southern parts of Mu'l'li-vaaykkaal inside the safety zone. The bombers hit several locations, 4 times around 10:15 a.m., 12 times at 2:00 p.m. 4 times around 4:15 p.m. and an hour later five times, bringing to total 25, the number of times the SLAF hit targets inside the "Safe Zone" where tens of thousands of civilians have sought refuge. The attacks intensified a day after Indian diplomats visited Colombo and discussed the war with the Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa.
Most of the SLAF attacks were concentrated in the areas south of Mu’l’li-vaaykkaal village inside the safe zone as heavy exchange of gunfire was reported in Valaignar-madam, north of Mu'l'li-vaaykkaal. Exact casualty details were not available.
The SLAF also attacked the safety zone twice on Thursday and Friday.
On Friday, 10 of the wounded civilians admitted at the makeshift hospital succumbed to their injuries as hospital struggled without medicines.
In today's attack totally 321 civilians were killed.
In the attacks on Valaignarmadam and Pokkanai 121 civilians were killed and another 135 were injured. Eelanatham Tamil daily employee also was killed in the attack.
According to hospital sources, many people from Valaignarmadam area were admitted to hospital today with injuries due to shell attack.
Mullivakkal North area came under air attack today at 10.15 am and Mullivaikkal South was attacked thrice at 2.15 pm, 4.30 pm, and 5.15 pm. 184 civilians were killed in the air attacks.
Both MIC and Kfir were engaged in the attack; in the operation at 2.15 they dropped 16 bombs on the civilian settlement. This operation lasted for around 20 minutes, taking the lives of 126 on the spot and damaging many civilian tents and few houses that existed in that area. In the subsequent air raids 48 were killed and 78 were injured. Also many tents and other properties were damaged. More than 100 feared killed in today's attacks and more than 200 injured in the air attack. People were vulnerable to attack since many people who are moving from Valaignamadam are on look out for places to settle.

The civilians who have managed to flee to the government camps have said they were held in the conflict zone against their will, according to UN staff members working in the camps. Stories of forced recruitment to fight for the LTTE and intimidation continue to circulate amongst those in the camps.- John Holmes - UN
Tamilnet and Tamilnation are two top propaganda arms for the now reeling LTTE. Isn't it best for us to check the other side too? Once, powerful LTTE who's leader Velupillai Prabhakaran, who vowed to see to the needs and help Tamil civilians is now hiding behind these very people for his personal safety. How ironic?
These supposed to be great fighters can let the civilians go to safety and try their hands at fighting the GOSL Forces.
When cornered, cowards can do many unpalatable things.

The Indian delegation must have came in to ask "why are you guys so slow in killing all Tamils in Sri Lanka, make it fast and finish it before election?!!"

The Civilians whom sri lankan army captured and put into detention camps can tell only whatever keeps them alive. Any news that comes are directed by sri lankan government. Why don't they allow international media even in this stage ? what are they hiding still ?
It is sri lankan army that is keeping civilians as hostages and advancing towards LTTE .. how cowards they are ? Why is sri lankan army begging india for their army and weapons ? Even if they kill all tamils including LTTE, its not because of the dumpest sri lankan army .. its by the indian army and their heavy weapons ...

This shows how brainwashed people are. Wonder why the Indian Army is dragged in to the scene. GOSL Forces are quite capable of mopping up the remnants of the LTTE.
Isn't it ironic that Pirahakaran is being protected by the very Tamil civilians he vouched to protect?

Not only IDPs, I think countries like Canada, UK, Australia should start investigating on the people who were openly protesting, not for IDPs, but to protect LTTE by waving the LTTE flags.
Some of them might be innocent, however it is highliy likely that the organisers of those events to have a direct link with LTTE and even with other terrorist organisations. I do not have facts to prove this statement, it is just that what I think as a possibility given the scale of funding, arms smuggling, media support, europian political backing that these people had.
Also SOME of the europian politicians may have strong backing from these terrorist groups by way of funding political campaigns and personal business interests. Within next few days, we'll see the end of war in Sri Lanka, will that mean it will end in west? These people will try something out in Europe to find ways to fund terrorism, probably in Europe and Canada.
Toronto could be a great target for Tamils to make the next homeland claim because the tamils who have migrated by various ways to Canada, most of them are strong Ealam supporters.
Since they have sacrificed generations by supporting LTTE for this and failed, now they will look in to other options. It is highly likely that the plans are already in place. It is difficult to do this in India, Sri Lanka without taking arms because of the way south asian politics work. It is too hard and any funding towards this will be a waste for tamils because even they find a breakthrough with one south asian government, things can change with the next government that comes to power.
I would also think and feel it is not the same in western countries. Tamil Ealam supporters can always find a way and once you win your rights, it is secured. It is like Asylam Seekers. All they have to do is to somehow step in to these countries. They get all facilities, benefits and the life is secured more than anywhere in the world.
Just my thinking only. Don't ask me to provide facts to prove my claims.
