Sri Lanka Mission in The Hague attacked Tue, 2009-05-12 21:54

The Hague, 12 May, (Asiantribune.com): The LTTE International Terror Group has attacked one more Sri Lanka Embassy in Europe. This time it was the Sri Lanka Mission in The Hague, The Netherland.

It is reported that as part of the LTTE's international terror campaign, the Sri Lanka Embassy in The Hague, the capital of The Netherlands came under attack yesterday (11th May 2009) at around 10.30.p.m.

The report further revealed that a small group of attackers,
believed to be part of the international terror network of the LTTE had broken some window panes and caused damage to the Embassy. The attackers had attempted to break into the Embassy premises without success. They had to leave without causing further damage, as the security alarm had gone off and the Police responded immediately.

The Sri Lanka Embassy has made representations to the Dutch Foreign Ministry condemning the attack and requested the Dutch Government to tighten the security of the Mission and ensure the safety of the staff.

A pattern is building. Attacking of various missions around the world in order to vent the frustrations of Tamil Tiger Terrorists have become the order of the day.

LTTE terrorist supporters have so far attacked the Sri Lankan Mission in Oslo, The Indian High Commission in London, where they beheaded the statue of Shri. Jawaharlal Nehru, the Chinese Embassy in London and now the Sri Lankan Mission in the Hague.

Sometimes it seems that the law enforcement aspect of these countries do not care as to what happens, even during terrorist supporter demonstrations.  Strict action against law breakers of this nature will definitely put the brakes on bad and illegal behavior.

It is scary to note that these attacks may not be over. At the rate the LTTE supporters are going it seems that this type of behavior is becoming infectious.

You can't believe everything on the net

Agreed.

There are some sites which cannot be believed at all. The biggest culprits are sites such as tamilnet, tamilnation, etc etc.

I do read defence.lk regularly. I'm disappointed with them though as I have not been able to find any doctored videos there. Can you help?

Thanks Hiranya. Where did you get these pics for the fishy story? tamilnet?

It is a sad state that the Sri Lanka Mission in the Netherlands had not reported this matter to the foreign press. Right now, certain inquiries are made regarding this.

Anyway, I'm glad that this episode is over.
