Sri Lankan Army found a Ltte's Airstrip near Ampakaman north which is 200m long and 10m Wide.Earlier they found 2 Airstrips near Pooneyrn on 20th November. That air track was 200m long and built on the B-69 Pooneryn-Parantan main road .Also 57 Division operating North of Vannivilankulama has captured 500m long airstrip which was believed used by LTTE for emergency landing.

TROOPS of the Task Force-I consolidating their positions about 300 meters further southward along the LTTE earth bund captured the area known as SINNAPARANTHAN which is 6 Km away from Paranthan.

Heavy fighting erupted around Kilinochchi Town when Sri Lankan troops of 57 Division and Task Force 1 continued their advances to the LTTE built earth-bund. According to the latest information hours-long fighting reported in west of Paranthan,Nivil, Iranamadu and Adampan areas, Sri Lankan troops captured over 2Km stretch breaking the LTTE's “L” Shaped earth bund in several locations. SL Troops continue their Advances despite heavy resistance given by the LTTE terrorists. Sri Lanka Air Force carried out six more air raids targeting identified LTTE positions in Mullaittivu and Kilinochchi fronts on 22 December 2008.

56 LTTE terrorists were killed and 87 were wounded in Fighting. Ten soldiers were died and 40 injured in fighting. Pro Ltte web site also claimed the clashes but exaggerated army casualties.

Sri Lankan Troops have rescued 26 innocent civilians while crossing Kilaly lagoon to arrive at security forces controlled area seeking safety for their lives. Also another 60 more civilians from the non-liberated areas of Mullaittivu District have arrived at Tanduwan general area, 4km Northwest of Nedunkerni.

Meanwhile Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa called on the LTTE that to release all innocent Tamils it is holding hostage, in bondage and using them as human shields, with the dawn of 2009, and allow them to come to the safe areas provided for them by the Government and the Security Forces.

Sri lankan Army 59 Division troops extend their defences around Kumulamunai,Nayaroo and North Alampil while engaged with enemies.

SL troops of the 53 and 55 Divisions captured the first line of the LTTE defences on November 20 and looking for capture the Ltte’s second defence line.

Sri Lanka Army Task Force 3 (TF 3) Troops have so far advanced about 8 km along the A-34 (Mankualam -Mullaittivu) Road and now are engaged with LTTE in east of Olmadu and in the Panikkankulam thick forest.Their next target is to capture Oddusudan.Newly appointed Task Force 4 has liberated the Nadunkerni town on 22 December and consolidating the area.

It seems now ltte’s somewhat silence. This is a dangerous clue. Hence possible air attack or combine Black Tiger attack can be happen anywhere targeting military complex,VVIP,VIP or a economic crucial point.Remeber LTTE’s  All Air attacks, except one (September 9th 2008) had happened between 22nd and 29th of a month, hence possible Ltte air attack within this week.

This would be interesting if we could believe it.  But we cannot! There is no way we can verify any of it!  Unless you permit independent journalists in your assertions are simply not credible.  It is just propaganda:  not journalism.
