Sri Lankan cricket team agree to tour Pakistan:Defies terror

Sri lanka is fighting with LTTE, and lost several lives in fast few months and on other side Pakistan is facing the islamic fundamentalism led violence and killing, but they are ready to play the game.Indian goverment called off the upcoming series because they say terrorist might harm the players.

If Team Englad is playing in India just after the terror attack , why our team is so scared?They pay homage to the victims , donate there match fees, and salute the visiting team for there courage to play in India.But we cannot go to Pakistan because , pak is not safe for Indian cricketers, but it is safe for Srilankan players.

Sri Lanka will tour Pakistan next year following the withdrawal of India, the Pakistan Cricket Board has confirmed.

India pulled out on Thursday after receiving government advice in the wake of November's attacks in Mumbai.

Sri Lanka, currently in Bangladesh for two Tests and a one-day series, will play three Tests, three one-dayers and a Twenty20 game in Pakistan.

"Sri Lanka have agreed to tour Pakistan," PCB chief operating officer Saleem Altaf confirmed.

"We are working on the dates and other details. Sri Lanka will travel to Pakistan straight from Bangladesh where their tour ends in the third week of January."

Sri Lanka are due to arrive in Karachi on 19 January and play the Twenty20 game and the first one-day match there.

The proposed schedule would then see the tourists travel to Lahore for back-to-back one-day games and the first Test.

Multan would host the second Test and Sri Lanka would return to Karachi for the final Test before returning home.

Its not about the spirit of the game,its all about the pride of the nation and the sympathy towards the people of india for whom who had lost their lives in recent Mumbai attack. And the world know that how much pakistan was involve in this attack and how much linient policy and comment is deliver by the official of the pakistan.

wow .. until today nothing has been proven that <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 />Pakistan state was involved. it was only Indian state and Media who decided to put the blame on Pakistan the moment it started but took time to send the forces to stop them..

the whole blame plot and drama looks like a flop movie plot. I am happy the Indian tour didnt take place a country whose security forces are guilty of criminal negligence and in action to stop the massacre of innocent civilians.

I wonder which Indian Colonel or General will be exposed this time? just like the massacre of Samjhota express.. Indian media didnt waste time blaming it on ISI but later ate its own words when an extremist Hindu group was exposed masterminded and financed by an Indian Army officer.

having said that.. I still grieve the loss of innocent lives both in India and Pakistan at the hands of terrorists

dear friends, didnt mean to make a political score here..by at least taking time to read each other comments and making our point of view we are already refusing to play at the hands of uncompromising and rigid fanatics.. they wont be happy enough if we turn this site into an ugly flame war. I am sure this wot happen

look we want peace with our nabours and it can only be maintained by cotinuing sports in this harh time we want peace but it doesnt means that we cant fight any one who will look our beloved country pakistan with bad eyes we will crush those eyes we have not worn banggles in our hands we r displeased with what did happen in mumbai and condem it but we r also facing terrorism in our country indian politicians r crupt they want to give mumbai attack wrong edge by saying that pakistan was involve in that activity how we can aim to do this and what can we get from indians i think that indian politician have done all the drama for winning the elections and they and americans made pakistan for that and nothing else
