Since all the illusion of support from Sri Lankan Tamils and International community has gone , LTTE is trying to intimidate Sri Lanka Government, US, UN and the entire world. The main worry of the LTTE supporters is that the terrorist leader Prabhakaran is not yet out of harm's way. The images of trapped civilians running away from LTTE to Sri Lankan government gave them the clear picture that what exactly the ethnic Tamils in Sri Lanka want. Still LTTE leadership and its few supporters are not ready to accept the reality.
Apr 20, Colombo: Sri Lanka's Tamil rebel organization, Liberation Tigers of Tamil Ealam (LTTE) today said that military solution will never lay this problem to rest as Sri Lanka will never be able to live in peace, as it imagines a military victory will bring.
Issuing a special statement by the Political wing of LTTE the rebels urged the Sri Lankan government to stop its military actions, including shelling and bombing civilian areas.
Vowing to continue their fight for freedom the Tigers called for a ceasefire without any preconditions.
Cozying up to the United States where the LTTE is banned as a Foreign Terrorist organization (FTO), the LTTE said "while the rest of the world has concentrated on apportioning blame, the United States has stressed the importance of finding solutions to put an immediate end to the plight of the Tamil civilians being lured and attacked in the safe zone by the Sri Lankan Government."

Sri Lanka opens eye in the sky on war zone
By C. Bryson Hull
COLOMBO, April 20 (Reuters) - Sri Lanka's military on Monday opened up its aerial surveillance centre to journalists for the first time, offering a glimpse of real-time footage from a battlefield usually off-limits to independent observers.
A handful of reporters were brought inside the Battle Management Centre at air force headquarters in Colombo, from where controllers monitor video from Israeli-made unmanned drones and a Beechcraft reconnaissance airplane.
