Stampede during Loveparade claims 19 lifes

A press conference been held in Duisburg on Sunday morning about the yesterday's tragic accident during Loveparade festival.

Number of death been increased to 19 from previously announced 15 and number of injured shot to a massive 340 from previously announced 100.

Panic occurred in the tunnel after police tried to stop people from entering the site. Event organizers been expecting about 1 million people to attend the event but expectations haven't met the reality when about 1.4 million people turned up for the event.

The area the event was held could held only around 300 000 people, some said. But organizers haven't stopped the event despite the overcrowding.

There was only one entrance to the site – the tunnel where the panic caused the accident.

After disaster happened some people on the site been unaware about what was happening in the tunnel. DJs been asked to carry on playing due to fear of causing panic on the site and claiming more injuries or deaths.

Investigation been launched to find out the cause of panic.
