Star Trek's Captain Kirk to Run for Prime Minister of Canada?

There are media reports that Star Treks Captain James Tiberius Kirk may enter the Canadian Political Arena for a run for Prime Minister. Once can be certain a lot of political parties will want him onboard their ship, as Trekkies on both sides of the border number in the millions. If William Shatner made his political tour across Canada, surely a media and public frenzy would ensue to rival abd outshine Obama's pre election Rock God Status. The only difference would be the Voting masses attire would be so bizarre as to defy logic. Parents though would rejoice, as once their thirty something kids are out Campaigning for Captain Kirk, it would allow Parents to finally get those basements clean and change the locks on the door of their home. One thing for sure Captain Kirks popularity would surely see a mass increase in voting numbers as Trekkies for the first time ever would finally leave their parents basement and hit the polls after decades and decades of isolation.

Canadians, “Set your Phasers on Stunned”! One wonders what a Star Trek Captain Running Canada would be like?

He does have the charisma for it and he can not be any worth then what is out there at the moment. Yet I doubt he will run.

tikun, that is Star Wars not Start Trek. Well maybe they meet some where in the time space continuum and I missed it. :)

Thanks Guys, you are right Paschen, he can't be any worse than any of the present politicians, just imagine what this would do for tourism? The man is well known all over the planet and beyond! What politician would go head to head with him? After all many politicians grew up watching his shows! Come on he's Captain Kirk for Gods Sake!

I wonder if he would really run for President. Mmmm .. it could just be the first time that I'd attend a political rally.

However, I am curious what it might be like should he ever win the Presidency.

He might instruct scientific organizations to concentrate on research for a cell phone - oh wait - that has already been done. Or perhaps eye recognition technology .. woops that has already been done too.

We'll have to watch old reruns of Star Trek to see what can be invented next!
