In the British Guardian newspaper, Dimitry Anastakis and Jeet Heer compared Stephen Harper to former U.S. President Richard M. Nixon. The article titled "The Canadian Nixon" documents a Prime Minister who pursues an ego-driven agenda, bereft of ethics, and that is in contempt of parliamentary democratic institutions. That article can been published in response to Harper's contemptuous activities against Elections Canada back in April 2008. However, the Harper government's proroguing of Parliament, as an act of political gamesmanship, is reminiscent of Richard Nixon.

Indeed, Jack Layton also has testified that the Harper government reminiscent of Nixon, has been wire tapping Opposition parliamentarians, who have sought to pursue...

I listened to his speech last night. And he repeatedly kept saying something like. "Let me make it very clear." Reminded me of Nixon. He has repeated lied to us about the economy, etc. He is evasive with his answers.

What lies has he told about the economy?

Eastvanray, you might wish to consider paying attention a little more, unless you are a Harper supporter.

I simply asked for examples of the lies Harper has told about the economy.  What is wrong with that?  If someone is going to make a serious accusation about the PM lying (and all PM's have been liars by the way) then it is not unreasonable to ask for sources and examples.  If none are provided then I would have to conclude that the liar is the person making the unsubstantiated accusation of Harper.  Now agora I do not need any more of your trivial advice, thanks.

Where are the examples of the lies?

And the same apparent bigot who makes ignorant comments, can't even spell the name correctly of the leader of the Conservative Party.  It is Harper, not 'Haper', eh.

Just as I thought.  Your argument is to point out a typo?  You are a joke.  You don't even have the skills to put up a case for your opinion.  Weak!

Eastvanray, I don't try to argue with apparent bigots like yourself, who seek to spread disinformation in behalf of the Conservative Party of Canada.

Invest in a dictionary.  When you save up enough to buy one look up the word bigot....since you clearly do not understand it's meaning.  Again, I ask you to show proof of your assertions or appologize for your foolish posts.

You, who could not spell 'Harper' or 'Hitler' need the dictionary; and not I.  Yes, you are an apparent bigot.  Why would I need to apologize to an apparent bigot?  And once again, apologize is not "appologize".  You may wish to also consider enrolling in a Grade 10 English course, eh.

Maybe you should also learn to read also, because it is apparent that your reading skills are not that great.  That's why you ask such ignorant questions.

Still no proof?  Abandon your straw man argument and provide NP readers with your proof or STFU.

Eastvanray, where did you learn to become such an apparent bigot, and so ignorant?  If you were not so apparently semi-illiterate, and actually read the article, you would find proof.

The article offers no direct "proof" of anything.

My best advice to you based upon your apparent semi-illiterate comments, is to go back to high school, and learn how to spell, and also, learn how to read if you can.  You might notice that you are the only Now Public users who is making such erroneous and ignorant comments in response to the cited article.
