Tests have concluded that bones found near an abandoned airplane in California do indeed belong to adventurer Steve Fossett. Any mystery surrounding Fossett's 2007 disappearance was officially put to rest after the Madera County sheriff's office said that tests on two bones matched Fossett's DNA.

Fossett was declared legally dead on February 15. For months afterward, however, rumors that the millionaire adventurer faked his own death.

After making millions in the stock market, Fossett decided to turn his attention to breaking world records in sailboats, gliders and hot-air balloons. All told, he set 115 flying and sailing records. He became the first person to fly solo around the world in a balloon.

Sadly, Fossett didn't manage to survive his last expedition. He disappeared in September 2007 on a routine flight from his home in Nevada. His disappearance set off an intensive search, one that even saw rescue workers try to locate the missing man using Google Earth.

It's so sad about Steve.  He did live out many of his dreams, but if was not born again in Jesus, he is in hell right now.  No, that is certainly not anything to rejoice about.
