Strong Alberta Winds

This story shows an example of how strong winds can get in Southern Alberta. Last weekend we had the collapse of the Stage at the Big Valley Jamboree near Camrose Alberta. That collapse resulted in one death. Who would have thought that the winds near Medicine Hat, Alberta would be strong enough to move these hay bales.
The pictures were taken around the Medicine Hat area after a windstorm
last week. The bales apparently weigh up to approximately 1600 lbs and
some were reported to have rolled up to 5 miles.
