Stuart Lubbock Patholigist Guilty of 'Serious Misconduct'
The former Home Office Pathologist Dr Michael Heath has been gound guilty of serious misconduct. Dr Heath appeared before a GMC tribunal hearing in manchester commencing on the 8th June 2009 until the 17th June 2009. Dr Heath carried out the first Autopsy on Stuart Lubbock who was found at entertainer Michael Barrymore's former home in Roydon essex in 2001. In a statement issued by the GMC General Medical Council who regulate doctors: " The Panel found that you had vigorously advanced pathological conclusions in two cases which were based on an unacceptable level of speculation without evidential foundation and, when you confronted with reasoned contary opinions by colleagues, you demonstated a deggree of inflexibilty which may be dangerous to the objective presentaion of expert testimony. The Panel concuded that your actions amounted to serious misconduct." Terry Lubbock who has lead a long campaign to get to the truth in his son Stuart's death, speaking from his home in Halow Essex today said: " In my view Dr Heath should have been 'Struck Off' the GMC register. I regard his work in my son Stuart's case as 'Incompetance' his work is flawed, Dr Heath has put a lot of people and their loved ones through a lot of Strees and worry." Dr Heath resigned from forensic pathology work, and the regulatory framework of Home Office forensic pathology is such that his resignation is permanent. For many like the family of Stuart Lubbock his resignation came to late. A Murder investigation by Essex Police continues into the death of Stuart Lubbock at Michael Barrymore's former home in Roydon Essex in 2001.
