This is a great article about elevator accidents.  I wish I had some better pictures, but I am in agreement that elevators can lose you business deals, and even endanger your life.

Every single one of us is quite aware of the fact that an unexpected accident can happen at any given moment, and it can happen no matter where we are or what we happen to be doing. However, there is one place that most generally we do not think for a second of an accident occurring, and that is when we are in an elevator. It is true that riding in an elevator is as much as 20 times safer for a person than riding on an escalator can be, and there are as many as 20 times more elevators than there are escalators, but for individuals that are riding in elevators there are only 1/3 more accidents.

Elevator in business

Suffering a personal injury in the darkness of an elevator in not a fun business experience. A majority of the time when someone does think of an accident happening with an elevator they envision the cables snapping and the elevator car crashing to the ground below them. This is not how elevator injuries happen however. Most generally it is from electrical problems that occur for one reason or the other, and then individuals are entrapped inside the elevator car. Being trapped in the darkness of an elevator on a business meeting is not a fun experience and it can cause immediate pandemonium because it is something that can be extremely scary for many people and it can definitely cause a person to panic. If a power outage were to occur from bad weather or for any other reason, you could easily become trapped in an elevator and you would then be dealing with sudden darkness and a very limited amount of space.

If you are in San Diego, San Bernardino, Riverside and Los Angeles, or the surrounding area such as Orange County beach areas like Irvine, and you find that you have been in a similar situation such as this, or any other type of situation and have suffered injury due to an elevator accident you will need to contact the area’s leading elevator accident attorneys who have vast experience and expertise and special understanding of all types of elevator accidents and personal injury that can occur when these accidents happen.

If you or one of your family members have become injured due to an accident that has happened in an elevator, you may also need the skilled services of a variety of specialists who have experience with your particular types of injuries. A lawyer who has years of experience and knowledge in dealing with a variety of different accidents and personal injury that an individual can suffer can offer you professional service that is second to none. Being trapped in the darkness of an elevator is not a fun experience and if this has happened to you consult only the best attorneys to handle your case.

Yes , this is the reason why i dont use elevatora at any cost.i only use escalators coz i have a bad experience of one of my friend's daughter, a 6 yrs old child being mentally affected after getting stuck in an elevator  for about 6 hrs in her  aparment without being noticled by anybody . It seems that elevator had some technical prblem at that time.

Thanks for highlighting this story. I remember some office people getting stuck in an elevator and then the emergency services who came to rescue them got stuck in the other lift (quite why they used the lift then is anyone's guess). I tend to avoid lifts as claustrophobic (which I gather isn't an 'illness' in law) but extremely disturbing. I would feel extremely sorry if anyone was stuck with me in one! I think I would have a heart attack, not a panic attack. I don't trusts lifts anyway, like all machines, they brake down at some point. If something does happen, it may be a while for the emergency services to come and get the lift fixed.

Also you get 'fire alarm tests' but lifts aren't tested regularly, although they may just get a service once a year.
