Sunday Morning Crash Kills Four at Salton Sea

According to reports by car accident lawyers, an accident that occurred at approximately 1:00 a.m. south of Coachella in the vicinity of Salton Sea at an intersection of State Route 86 and 62nd Avenue was fatal to four victims and injuring one other.

The California Highway Patrol Officials stated that the driver of a 2009 Cadillac CTS allegedly ran a stop sign; the driver has been identified as Andres Z. Luna age 33 and a resident of Thermal.

Luna after allegedly running the stop sign collided with a 1995 Ford Taurus, the driver of the Ford lost control and the vehicle which went into a dirt field where it struck two concrete barriers and a fire hydrant. The force of the crash split the Ford in two pieces, the passengers in the back seat were ejected according to the California Highway Patrol. They also have stated that the passengers in the back seat were children ages 7, 8, and 11 months old All three were fatally injured, along with the driver who has been identified as a 30 year old female and they were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Another passenger in the vehicle was identified as a 30 year old man and a resident of Thermal, he was transported to the hospital.

According to the California Highway Patrol, Luna the driver of the Cadillac was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and four counts of vehicular manslaughter.
