Surrey Wedding Shooting At Guru Nanak Sikh Temple: Managing Director of Radio India, Marinder Gill Turns Himself In To Surrey RCMP

A prominent Punjabi Canadian, Marinder Gill, 47, was arrested on numerous counts including unlawfully possessing a firearm on Monday.

Marinder Gill, the managing director of Radio India, broadcast online and in the Vancouver area turned himself into the RCMP in Surrey.

Gill reportedly got into an altercation with Harjit Singh Atwal at the Guru Nanak Sikh Temple in Surrey


Surrey building contractor Harjit Singh Atwal, 54, who'd been reportedly feuding with the Newton-based radio station and recently filed a lawsuit against it over an alleged defamation, was shot in the thigh after attending a wedding at the temple that was attended by about 1,000 guests.

Police would not provide further details apart from saying the men knew each ohter.
