Living right in the area where this event took place, I was unaware of the chase, as I was still in bed and did not hear any sirens.  However, a few years ago in Surrey, while driving along King George Highway, I came upon a police roadblock where the officer told me to get off the road into a parking lot on my right, as there was a police chase approaching for a stolen semi-trailer rig.  Sure enough, moments later, the rig came barrelling up the highway, careening around the police cars and continued on, but was finally stooped about 10 minutes later.  Exciting to witness, but at the same time very scary.

MAPLE RIDGE (News1130) - A long, terrifying police chase through the streets of Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows is over.

Just before 7AM, police tried to pull over a ten-ton truck near Harris Road and Lougheed Highway, but the driver refused to stop.

He then proceeded to drive down the highway through traffic at dangerousy high speeds, careering into the median, police cars, and whatever happened to get in his way.

After nearly forty minutes and several RCMP spike belts, the truck finally came to a stop near Kanaka Way. The suspect jumped out of the cab and started to run, but only made it about 10 feet before he was nailed by a ghost car, going up on the hood, then crumpling to the ground in a heap.

It appears the suspect has not been seriously injured. Flanked by officers on either side, he was walked to a waiting ambulance and taken away.

Hey, now that's what I call getting caught with your pants down, in this case "No Pants", "No Shirt", "No Shoes", "No Service".  I do not know any officer who would approach any guy naked driving a 5 ton truck, hence taking out  "Butt Naked"  with your Police unit. Hope his unit gets a good car wash after? If anyone needed a Good Tasering, it was this Whacko who also threatened to blow up one of our bridges.
