The wife of Egypt's ousted President, Hosni Mubarak has taken ill with suspected heart attack. Suzanne Mubarak was admitted to hospital in the resort of Sharm el-Sheikh just hours after anti-corruption officials ordered her to be detained for 15 days while fraud allegations against her are investigated. The detention order amounts to a dramatic fall for Suzanne Mubarak once seen as the most powerful influence on the man who ruled Egypt for three decades, both of her sons are already in jail. She was questioned this week about a bank account containing more than three million dollars and a luxury house she owns. Reformers in Egypt believe the Mubarak family accumulated a fortune worth tens of billions of dollars while in power.
