Swastika Painted Over US Congressmen David Scott's Name
The debate about health reform in the US turned even more hostile with Barack Obama and other Democrats attempting reform being overtly compared to Nazis. A swastika was painted over Congressman David Scott's name on a sign outside his office in Smyrna, Georgia, according to The Guardian. The FBI are investigating and police are hoping that the offense was caught by security cameras.
The incident came less than a week after a rowdy town hall meeting in which Scott was involved in acrimonious exchanges with critics of Obama's proposed health reform.
Scott has asked for extra protection for himself and his family following the incident.
Scott received hate mail after angrily denouncing healthcare critics at a meeting that received widespread television coverage in the US. He told the Associated Press that the swastika was probably intended as a warning and expressed hope that it will persuade reasonable people to maintain a more substantive debate. He said: "We must not allow it to intimidate us."

I do not condone any terrorizing tactics or shout-fest engaged by both sides of the aisle.
The background of this story came about when Representative Scott shouted at and lectured to a physician who was asking Representative Scott a reasonable question about details of the health care reform. The physician is not even Republican and he lives in the very district represented by Mr. Scott. Rep. Scott did not address the question at all, but told the physician to make an appointment at his office.
It was obvious that Rep. Scott mishandled the situation at the start. Nevertheless, he does not deserve to be intimidated ...

The swastika (hakenkreuz or hooked cross), although an ancient symbol, was used some times as crossed S-letters for "socialism" under the National Socialist German Workers Party. See the work of Dr. Rex Curry (author of "Pledge of Allegiance Secrets").
