Swimmer skin tough as leather?

I don’t know, this is another Welsh news story destined for a BBC mini-series special starring Helen Mirren.

“Swimmer, 84, in sea rescue at Treaddur Bay, Anglesey

A lifeboat has rescued a 84-year-old woman being carried out by the tide at Treaddur Bay on Anglesey.

Treaddur Bay lifeboat, Holyhead Coastguard and a rescue helicopter from RAF Valley had been sent out to help the woman at lunchtime on Monday.

The swimmer, from Wigan, Greater Manchester, who was wearing only a bathing costume, was taken to hospital.

Holyhead Coastguard urged people to be careful and only go out to sea suitably dressed and equipped.”

It was lunchtime, and the old gal decided she needed a dip. She had her suit and confidence to enter the water with a big splash. She caught the current and was thrashing madly when the Holyhead Costguard caught sight of the situation and threw to her a life vest and warning, it’s to cold for a bikini, grandma.
