Taliban, Domestic Violence, and Ethics

A person who called himself "talisban" was going on a CNN forum saying that he slaps his wife around, and that doing so makes him a man.

This carries insight into what these people believe strength and manliness to be. And it is an insight that can very well be used against them.

The genuinely strong, effective people all know that part of real strength is self-control. This allows them to restrain themselves from doing stupid things such as beating their wives. The men who do beat their wives are for the most part idiots who keep pissing into their own pool and making life ugly for the people who love them. And the more the men are taught that self-control is a part of strength, and that home is not the appropriate place for violence, the more men will actually develop real, disciplined strength that they need in order to be effective.

Instead the Taliban types end up practicing this: Stupid, destructive brutality. And stupid, destructive brutality will be put into its place by real, disciplined strength any day. The US military had very little difficulty destroying the Taliban military in 2001. In the same way, the inner city bitch-slappin gangsters would not be able to do much against a real military, however tough, strong and manly they fancy themselves to be.

What men who have such beliefs practice and encourage, besides barbarism and stupidity, is also a lack of discipline. And undisciplined organs of power lose to disciplined ones any day. They may be able to terrorize their wives, but they are no match for a real army. And knowing this about them can assist in defeating them wherever they may be.

Another aspect of this is moral judgment. The Taliban keep claiming themselves to be morally superior to the West; in fact they are far inferior to the West. Battering wives and abusing women is despicable behavior. And Bill Maher was right to say that the West is better than Middle East because it has free speech and women's rights.

It is time to turn the table on the Taliban in the moral arena. The men who batter their wives are vastly morally inferior to men who do not. The West does not have men throwing sulfuric acid into girls' faces for going to school or not wearing burqa. The West does not have 90% of men being barbaric to their wives. The West does not have families murdering their daughters for getting raped. The West does not have families marrying off teenage girls to old men without asking htem. The West does not have men demonstrating against anti-rape laws with signs "We Want To Rape." The West is better than the Taliban in every aspect, and that also includes the moral aspect. And this is a message that should be carried to all vulnerable populations that are at risk of being infiltrated by the Taliban.
