After destroying all infrastructure and leaving the people no way to support their families:
Islamabad, May 18 (IANS) Pakistani Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said that the Taliban have spent huge sums of money to lure youths to carry out suicide attacks in the country. He said: “They (Taliban) bought youths from the poor families in half a million to 2.5 million rupees (about $30,802) for suicide attacks.”
Looks like they put that 6 million US to good use. But they have been getting lots more from others.

Rene, thanks for this.

I just can't imagine what kind of parent would sell their son to be killed and to kill others with his death. Worse than selling a cow to the slaughterhouse. Sell your child. Make a bomb of my son!
How desperate they must be, or how warped their minds.

This is low even for the Taliban.

Not really. Didn't Saddam Hussein pay that much to the suicide bombers from the West Bank and Gaza? rather to their families. These terrorists seem to borrow MOs a lot.

This is a mentality, those of us in the West can't comprehend. I heard women in Bosnia making similar statements of raising sons to fight other ethnic groups. Deep seated hatred makes it hard for a society to evolve to a peaceful one.

It shows loyalty to their country, to their culture and homeland. The thinking is why allow American Invaders come and kill us.....without a fight? Afghanistan people like the Vietnam people know that America has only one agenda and that is to establish its Military Empire. It is about using fear and bombs to make the people bow to the mighty US American Establishment. Since its founding America has only been about bullets, bombs, killing, and taking over other peoples land and resources. In fact money given is only given for the help in the resistance. The parents and children are giving their lives freely at no price to stop the Military Invasion... The Taliban are working to gain support from other nations who have been victorious against the paper tiger American Military. This includes support not only from Russia, and China, and Iran, and India....but also Vietnam...

It's easy to blame the US for everything, jerm, as you so often love to do, but the roots of this problem goes way beyond any influence the US may have on events there.

Sure Rene just like the roots to communism goes way back.....and Cuba, Vietnam and China, even Russia have their way of doing things that they prefer. Think maybe there are other cultures too, that have their own belief system as well? I do? So who are you to judge? Especially when much worse comes from your culture..that you are never honest about Ren'e. ...
You like to think Democracy is some panacea of correctness, but time and time again it has failed, and never really did come about through culturalism except when force was employed upon them. But you like that Rene; right? You like the idea of using armies and guns, and bullets to control people....and have them forever live in fear of the United States..as every country bows and pledges their allegiance to your hypocritical God and the Constitution.

This is clearly a flaming and baiting remark, and is not allowed on NowPublic - please don't bait the author into replying to your comment, it's unnecessary.

Hello Amy.....and I am not baiting or trying to inflame.....but trying to see what and how the author thinks.. There are two sides to every coin, every world, every hand, every life. So what you are saying is that comments do not include questions? Because every question could be termed as baiting, or inflammatory. She need not reply, I am not forcing her...
She has told me she doesn't care what I think.....Quote: " Who gives a crap what you think". (in a message to me)....and it is clear that is as inflammatory....and proves my point...Most Americans careless about what other people think.

You are welcome to question the nature of the piece, but saying things like 'you like that Rene right?' is baiting - please stop; if you need more information on our definition of flaming, see the bottom section of our Code of Conduct.

Amy do you think I would say that if she didn't level insults at me through the message circuit? And what if Ren'e said no I don't like that? Apparantly she doesn't like that or she would have the courage to stand up for herself and not have you accuse me of some violation.
Deciding who is or isn't a flamer, and how that contributor will be handled, is at the final and sole discretion of the NowPublic staff...
Certainly says nothing about the idea Stories are inflammatory and as baiters as well..
Amy I am aware of the rules of NP as lots of other sites....and can say without a doubt they are all abusers. Even Rene's story here is a complete fabrication... I have seen more insults and disagreements in articles that deal with the War in the world....the taking of life of people....and you think that is an easy topic to follow the rules to, when people are being gunned down in their streets, in their homes?
Because I present an argument against the US I am the bad guy? All I can say Amy is that I do not bait people, or draw the first sword. I defend my perceptions, whether you or people think they are opinions or not....
I will keep the code of conduct as my dictionary, and hope others will as well. First rule of thumb stop flaming the war, and giving cause to lies...because it only creates more fire and brim-stone...
